Chasing the Sun. A Nullarbor Tale – Timothy Diamond (2016)

This book is based around one of this country’s most laconic events taking place in April each year called: Chasing the Sun Golf Festival. This 18 hole, par 73 course takes place on the world’s longest golf course of 1,365 kilometres. Starting at Ceduna in South Australia, and ending in Kalgoorlie, Western Australia; each hole includes a synthetic green tee and somewhat rugged outback style, natural terrain fairway.

The Festival was ten days of golf, road travel, laughter, disappointment, sightseeing and overall continual fun.

 About the Author

“Timothy Diamond” is a pseudonym for my real name.

I grew up in the provincial town of Rockhampton in Central Queensland, and the exploits of my hero, “Tom Davis”, are loosely based on actual events in my own life. (Hence the pseudonym)

In April of 2016 my wife and I took part in the Chasing The Sun Tournament, we both considered this to be a fun way of crossing the Nullabor, playing golf along the way.
